Husky Squadron

Project type

Logo Design

Date

August 2024

Location

Ontario, Canada

437 Husky Squadron Unit

Their name stems from the symbol of strength huskies play in Canadian culture. Carrying traits of endurance, teamwork, loyalty, and resilience - their qualities align well with those promoted in the Royal Canadian Air Cadets program.

This logo is used for sewn on patches and internal team needs.

Formed in 1944, the squadron was located in Trenton, Ontario and relied on for strategic airlift and aerial refuelling. The Huskies were formed for VIP transportation, including senior Allied commanders. Today, you will see them transporting Canadian Armed Forces personnel, equipment, and VIPs (including the Prime Minister, Governor General, and members of the Royal Family)

I loved taking this project on and creating a modern version of a modernized take of a historical logo. Learning about different fields and their history is one of my favourite parts of branding and its role in marketing.
